Shopping
People really don't come to Mammoth for the Shopping. However, if you are looking for outdoor gear, there are some good sporting goods shops in Mammmoth.
The Village boasts diverse food and beverage establishments ranging from simple and sweet to sophisticated. Retailers offer a variety of items from children’s apparel to men and women’s resort wear, and more! The Village is also Mammoth’s premier event destination, presenting a diverse lineup of live music and entertainment year-round.

Getting Around
Lyft and Uber do not operate in Mammoth and the taxi service is unreliable so I recommend taking the BLUE LINE shuttle to/from the slopes (from Stop 72) and taking the trolley at night if you plan on drinking.
Red's Meadow, Devil's Post Pile and Rainbow Falls are only accessible by taking the Sierra Shuttle Service.

Mono Lake is located 30 minutes north of Mammoth Lakes. Take hwy 395 north to hwy 120. Mono Lake is a majestic body of water covering about 65 square miles. It is an ancient lake, over 1 million years old -- one of the oldest lakes in North America. It has no outlet. A reserve was established to preserve the spectacular "tufa towers," calcium-carbonate spires and knobs formed by interaction of freshwater springs and alkaline lake water. It also protects the lake surface itself as well as the wetlands and other sensitive habitat for the 1 – 2 million birds that feed and rest at Mono Lake each year.
