Continue along this road and you will find a ruined castle with an interesting history. They have stabilised the ruin. You can picnic by the river.

This is our nearest town just 9 miles. It has 2 large supermarkets, lots of restaurants and delightful mediaeval centre. Also in July & Aug they have music and BBQ.
