Cool atmosphere, interesting drinks. It can get a little over crowded sometimes its a great place to go to meet people though. Lots of locals go here and it's locally owned, not too touristy.

Parks & Nature
Little known nature park/forest right in the middle of City Park. I recommend driving to this part of City Park, but if you're adventurous you can catch the streetcar to the entrance of City Park, then make your way to the Forest. The forest itself is relatively small but you get the feel of being on a hiking trail while you are still in the middle of the city. I recommend it highly if you want to go for a nice quiet nature walk. The entire City Park is a great place to visit as well, lots to do there (museum, sculpture garden, botanical garden, amusement park, play grounds,running trails & festivals).

Couturie Forest

The historic St. Charles Streetcar line is not only a convient way to get around the city but also a wonderful way to see Historic Uptown and its 100+ year old mansions. A great thing to do on a Sunday morning/early afternoon is to get some wine and ride the entire length of the streetcar route to take in the sites, hop off and visit Audubon park, then find your way to Magazine street which offers many restaurants, bars, and shopping.
