Great for brunch, lunch, or dinner. They serve breakfast all day! I love the blueberry flax pancakes, and they're famous for the red velvet cake!

Delicious and affordable Asian fusion with poke bowls, some sushi rolls, and "bowl-litos" (Japanese burritos). I love the "Special Plates" because they come with a sampling of tiny Japanese-flavored cookies (matcha chocolate chip, sesame, etc.) on the side! The atmosphere here is fabulous too. It feels like a small jungle oasis in the middle of LA.

If you can't go without your Starbucks fix. (You can also try Coffee Bean across the street- I prefer their brew!)

Our favorite Ethiopian restaurant, right in the heart of Little Ethiopia. Only a half mile walk from our place. Try the sambusas (similar to an Indian samosa), the vegetarian sampler, or the "tibs." A fun and affordable experience. Come with an appetite- portions are huge!

A fabulous little museum with a great gift shop! One of my favorites. Fewer crowds than other local museums.

Parks & Nature
A Los Angeles favorite! Though it can be a bit touristy, I think it's worth taking the time to visit the Tar Pits and museum. You won't see something like it anywhere else.
