Parks & Nature

Yellow Rock Trail is our favorite. It's only 20 minute hike to a huge rocky overhang and a breathtaking view of the Ozark Mountains.

1hr 45min drive totally worth it for the valley hike. Very cool forest. Huge vines. Waterfalls. Caves. Cave tunnel with a waterfall that you can climb through. Ginormous rocky overhangs. Climbing on boulders. Sometimes, on the weekends, at the end of the hike there is a park ranger offering helmets with headlamps. You can climb into the last cave(very tight squeeze and belly crawl-- not good if you are claustrophobic) BUT- at the end, it opens up into a very tall cavern with a waterfall inside!!! It's amazing. Go see it ;) Do not go in without a helmet. You will crack your head multiple times and it still hurts with a helmet. Be careful!!
