Delta Dewata and Pepito supermarkets are 10min drive away and can be reached most easily by driving through Petulu heron village. This allows you to avoid the worst of Ubud's traffic. Banks and safe atms are on the same side of town which also means being able to steer clear of the worst traffic.

Labak Sari warung is a 2 minute walk from my house offers fabulous and authentic Balinese food.
GreenKubu in the ricefields on Jalan Cinta - just north of my house - also serves excellent Indonesian food in a lovely outdoor setting.
The newly built AnandaDara Hotel is another close-to-home option for dining.
5 min south, in the village of Tegalantang, are more cafes and eateries, some with a Russian twist as Russian owned PARQ is located there.
