Arts & Culture

The whole are of Cradle of Humankind is steeped in paleontological history. There are two main tourist sites... 1. Maropeng and 2. Sterkfontein Caves. You can visit them separately or book a ticket that combines a visit to both. Highly recomended for the younger members of a group (and the young at heart too). There is some walking to the caves and inside too, which may be a little a bit taxing on elderly or persons with a movement disability. Please enquire when booking. Both sites have restaurants or kiosks for meals or snacks.
