Hike up to the top of Ben Lomond for spectacular views of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the Southern Alps.
You can either start from the bottom at the base of the Gondola, or take the Gondola up to save you ca. 1 hour each way (but it costs you $40 pp return).
Total from bottom: 6-8 hours
Total from top of Gondola: 4-6 hours

This track actually goes all the way up and over the Remarkables, but you can keep it short and sweet by just going as far as the plateau where you can have a picnic and watch the rock climbers do some hard work. It's relatively steep, but it only takes about an hour to get there, and the views are very rewarding.

The Queenstown Trail is a cycle trail that goes around Arrowtown, Gibbston Valley and Queenstown. It passes along the Shotover river not far from our house.

Tucked away in the picturesque Arrowntown, this is Linde's favourite place for brunch. They offer a variety of dishes, from smashed avocado on toast to Japanese pancakes and fish tacos! All delicious.
They also serve mimosas and Bloody Mary's, for a boozy brunch :)
Open until 3pm, can get quite busy.

If you've researched Queenstown at all - you will have heard about Fergburger! Infamous for it's queues, our insider tip is to call and order instead of standing in line for an hour. Sometimes you may need to call 20 times until you get through, but it's worth it!
