The traditional tavern of Kritikos is famous for its large and low budget portions. The meat is really great and the starters are tasty. The place is very simple so don't expect a great atmosphere. Be patient with the service and have some cash with you since they don't accept payments with cards.

It is a great place to take a break when exploring Oia. You can taste their homemade sweets or just drink a coffee while enjoying the amazing view. Tip: If the upper terrace is full of people try the small balcony they have in the basement. It is not visible from the street so it is more likely to find a free table.

Also, you can taste amazing wines and local delicacies like cheese, tomato paste, olives and crispbreads. A unique museum where you can see the history of wine in Santorini. It is amazing to see how people achieved so much without the machines and comforts we have these days and to see how their culture and way of living was connected with the cultivation of grapes and the produce of wine. Plus at the end of the tour, you get to taste some of their wines that are by the way amazing.

It is really difficult to use a stroller inside the traditional alleys.

The traditional alleys can get narrow at some points, they have stairs and they are made of small pebbles. So it is impossible to use a stroller. Also, they can get really crowded during the summer season, it even becomes difficult for pedestrians to move around.
Modi kif tiffranka

Use the local bus service to save money from your transports.

The local buses are modern, comfortable, fully-airconditioned and during the summer season, the routes are really frequent. You can use them to reach most parts of the island. The price ticket varies for each route but is in general very affordable.
Kif tista' tmur minn post għall-ieħor

Depart for the airport/ port in time.

The island might be small but during the high season, traffic can get really horrible. So depart from your location in time in order to reach your destination.
