Parks & Nature

Lions Beach is nestled in between Pambula Beach and the Pambula River Mouth. Rocks border its northern and southern entrances, making for great climbing and photography, with Lion Rock the king of them all. You can walk north from Pambula Beach to Merimbula (6km) or walk a few hundred metres around the rocks to the Pambula River Mouth. This beach and its neighbours are enormously popular in summer, so be prepared to park the car on Coraki Drive and walk down through Lion Park. The park has a large shelter with benches, 4 free gas barbecues, 7 picnic tables, amenities, beachside shower and viewing platform – and it’s dog friendly.
