Arts & Culture
You can get lost in here and we often do! From early Maori history to modern day, there's something here for everyone. There's a cafe as well and being right next to the Botanic Gardens and across the road from the Arts Centre, its a great few hours to spend on a number of different things.

Sightseeing
This is where the French settled in NZ in the 1800's. It retains much of the French flavour, in street names and other nuances. You can swim with the dolphins, check out the lighthouse, go to the cinema, paddleboat, swim in the sea or just people watch from one of the cafes and restaurants along the seawall.
