Essentials
There are several grocery stores within a few miles of our home: Publix (with Starbucks), Kroger, Walmart and Lidl. Dollar Tree, Dollar General, CVS & Walgreen's are also closeby. Plenty of good shopping and restaurants at White Oak Village including a Target (with Starbucks) and an additional freestanding drive-thru Starbucks, I guess because we really need 3 Starbucks within 1/10 of a mile of each other. And several gas stations (Wawa, Sunoco, Exxon & 7-Eleven) are close by as well.

Sightseeing
Fun things to see while you are here because these attractions are nowhere else.
It's one of two National Historic Landmark districts in Richmond. The architecture is stunning, the homes are grandiose and it's a great tree lined street to walk and photograph. The statues of confederate soldiers were removed, but anchored on the west a statue of tennis great, Arthur Ashe still stands. It looks a bit different without the confederate statues but they've added some creative art in those open spaces. While you are in the area, venture over to the VMFA to see our latest statue, 'Rumors of War'. It's such a dynamic piece of art at the same scale and intensity that the others were on Monument Avenue before removal.

It's one of two National Historic Landmark districts in RVA! At the turn of the century, it was one of the nations most thriving black business communities. Absolutely beautiful architecture - lots of three & four story homes with cast iron porches. There has been much revitalization to Jackson Ward over the years and it is a hub for new restaurants and businesses.
