If you're in the area for a bit and want to see the SC mountains we'd recommend Table Rock, as well as several other spots in the area. It's a decent hike, but if hiking isn't your thing, you can drive to the top of nearby Caesar's Head for an incredible view of Table Rock.

These stars mark where Union cannonballs hit the State House, from all the way across the river, during Sherman's siege & the burning of Columbia in 1865.
