It is the perfect spot to work during the week. They have good free internet, quite lots of places to plug your batteries and lots of table, so you will probably find one to sit in.
The staff is very friendly, the coffee cost 2 euros, they have good food if you like so and they have really good playlist. So, well, perfect place! During weekends in the evenings it's a great please to meet locals and to have a lot of music and ambiance!

The Chatelain neighbourhood is one of the poshest in town. The whole area is filled with smart shops, cafés, and some of my favourite restaurants. On Wednesdays the main square (Place du Chatelain / Kasteleinsplein) turns into an open-air market, where local producers sell pretty much everything from fresh meat, fish and vegetables to cheese, bread, olives, candy and flowers. If you arrive around 14:00 when the market opens, you’ll be able to do your shopping at ease and probably spot groups of friends making a bee line in front of the food stalls before they head back to the Chatelain Boutique Hotel for a cooking class.
By bus: 12min. By foot: 20min.

Located in the heart of the municipality of Saint-Gilles, the square is a very popular place in Brussels.
In addition to its daily market in existance since 1865, the court has some of the most famous cafés in Brussels: the Verschueren, the Maison du peuple as well as the Union.
The church of Saint-Gilles was built from 1866-1878 in Neo-Roman style.
As soon as the sun appears, the Parvis de Saint-Gilles becomes a must.

An excellent and very friendly wine bar. The place is small, the room warm and well thought out.
The boss and (its) servers are in a good mood and good advice.
The public is rather local, what is significant and last but not least, it's not expensive!
A must for a fun night with friends

To me this is one of the best place to get Italian food. It feels like your grandma's pasta from Napoli.

Prix hyper raisonnable. Accueil chaleureux et sympathique.
Great place for a vegetarian brunch! The place is very nice and cosy (it's also a florist). The decoration is really nice and the food is simple and delicious. Prices are also correct!

If you feel like spending the night tasting different kinds of dishes prepared with excellent quality off selected mushrooms, then this is your kind of place. Don't worry, they also serve meat and accompaniments, not just mushrooms. The chef knows very well how to handle his fungi and succeeds in making this a full experience. Ask for wine suggestions or a place at the bigger table in the wine cellar (bring warmer clothes). Budget: about €50-60pp all in.

This little eatery will surprise you with its quirky decor and original lunch concept: naan (Indian flat bread) topped with fresh organic ingredients. A tasty, filling and healthier alternative to pizza!

Parks & Nature
A great Park, with different types of terrain.
For the fans of climbs: the terrain is level! There are areas of grass to play, picnic, Woods to think himself out of town, roses, trees, and views of lunatics.
Around the Park will take you more than an hour. As well, it is full of little corners, just waiting to be discovered.
On a foggy winter day, or on a nice summer evening, it's a famous green lung for the city, which will delight the eyes, but also the mind and body.
The Park is also a gathering place, many communities or families flock or organize parts of football, picnics... Saint Gilles Park is just across the street, there is to cross the road, allowing you to take long walks.

Very cute & well-known "Place" with all the chocolateries you can imagine. You must go there have a coffee and try some chocolates. My personal favorite is Wittamer or the famous Marcolini.
The Sablon is a lovely area adorned with beautiful shops and restaurants....the Square is not typical......everything happens around the edges and the centre has cars passing through....the back of Notre Dames church at one end....there are a few restaurants and a lovely florist,a furniture shop and your obligatory chocolate and icecream shop...there are some antique shops and some jewellers.
