Fun places to check out
Visiting first thing in the morning will prevent long lines and large groups especially during any week day. If you have extra time and extra cash, I highly recommend the Behind the Scenes Bus Tour and the Astronaut Training Experience.
Also, if you go to the main gift shop and go upstairs, there is a clearance section. Hit that up first!

A great place to not only watch the launches but a fun place to watch cruise ships come and go. You can find the ship schedule online and oh, do not forget to look for the Disney cruise ship to pass you by - it is a must see (and hear). It is my favorite to see leave port.

Jetty Park
100 Jetty Park RdA great place to not only watch the launches but a fun place to watch cruise ships come and go. You can find the ship schedule online and oh, do not forget to look for the Disney cruise ship to pass you by - it is a must see (and hear). It is my favorite to see leave port.
Food scene
Great food and drinks. You do not have to dress up here. Shorts and a t-shirt is fine here.
By far, the VERY best donut's I have ever had. Get there early though because they can often sell out of donuts by 11am. My personal favorite: Lemon filled.

Love different brews? Here you can find really great ones with unique names and full of flavor. I suggest doing a flight so you can taste several. They have another location called the Brix Project which is closer and they have a wider menu of food and beverages.

Hushpuppies, hushpuppies and hushpuppies. Have I mentioned the hushpuppies? Get in there before the lunch, dinner or church crowds do or you will be outside waiting. I like sitting at the bar when they are open. Their seafood soup is great, their hushpuppies are fantastic and I always get the rock shrimp broiled not fried. I think they have the best rock shrimp in the area. Don't forget to get your picture taken with the shrimp on the bench.

If you want a coastal shopping experience that sort of is like a Marshalls or TJ Maxx, Bealls is it. They have great sales and cute beachy / coastal items.

Tons of cute shops, places to eat, drink and see. Beware: this area gets packed at all times so you may have to drive around a little to find parking but it is worth going and hanging out for a while.

Probably my favorite food place in the area. Their fresh pressed olive oil and balsamic vinagers are full of flavor and you can sample them all. The staff there will teach you so much about their products and different ways to use them. This place is a gem in Cocoa Village.

I hope you do not need to go to the emergency room while you are here but if you do, please go here. I promise you the best care in the world. It was recommended to me and unfortunately I have had to go twice. It is less than 20 min away.

A great beach with lots of wildlife along the way. Restrooms available and great parking close. There is a fee per car for entrance or you can buy a yearly pass. This is my favorite beach to visit!
