Activities

Active things to do on North Caicos.
Hire a kayak (single or double available) and kayak down the beautiful Bottle Creek, seeing turtles, stingrays, and all sorts of beautiful wildlife the island has to offer. Stop off on one of the secluded islands in the creek and have the whole place to yourself.

Food scene

Where we eat on North and Middle Caicos.
The local hangout in North Caicos, the Barracuda Beach Bar sits right on the beach in Whitby. You’ll find the odd fellow tourist in there (but not too many) along with homeowners who are down visiting. Get one of the local Turks beers or order a cocktail. They serve great food too. We love the chicken in plantain sandwich!

A local staple that serves up lobster, fish, and burgers and holds a great BBQ on a Friday evening which is one of the social highlights of the island. Highly recommend to go.

Beaches

The best beaches on North and Middle Caicos to visit during your stay.
Mudjin Harbor has some of the best scenery and beaches on all of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and certainly one of the most photographed spots. There’s a cave with a secret hidden beach, rock pools, causeways, and breathtaking scenery. It’s great to go to the Mudjin Harbor Bar and Grill for food overlooking the harbor, with gorgeous views.

This is our closest beach, just five minutes drive away. Walk along the beach and jump into the sea, or take a stroll to the left of the pier and up the empty beach, until you find the remains of the St Charles hotel, which no lies empty. Great for a walk around and explore. The beach is usually empty, like most of the beaches in North and Middle.

The best place for snorkelling on North Caicos. Take your snorkel and fins and drive fifteen minutes to the breathtaking Three Mary Cays (named after the three rocks just off the shore). Plenty of fish to be seen and shallow waters to swim in.

One of our favourite beaches, tucked away out of the wind this beach is always calm and the sea is always still. Perfect!
