Markets

If you’re coming to stay with us over a weekend, and are planning on visiting Honfleur and Deauville/Trouville. I would advise on going to Honfleur on the Saturday as it’s market day. Honfleur has 2 parts to its market. There is 1 part near St Catherines church, which is definitely for food lovers and the other part is around the “Vieux Bassin” which is more eclectic. After your wander around the market and many little winding streets, there are so many restaurants to stop off at and have lunch or to just stop and have a drink and watch the world go by. Deauville and Trouville also have a market, but there’s is on a Sunday morning. You can buy lots of different foods, clothing and household items and at the beach end of the market is the fish stalls where you can sit and eat fish and crustations caught that morning or bag them up and bring them home to eat. If you do take any of my advice above, please message me beforehand and we can arrange for you to drop off your luggage earlier and collect the key so you can take your time and not have to worry about check-in times
If you're coming to stay with us, I recommend a wander around the beautiful town of Honfleur? Saturday morning is market day and Honfleur's is great. There are 2 parts, the food market near the boat builders church and the eclectic part around the harbour.

The pretty little village/town of Cormeilles is our local place to go. Lots of independent shops, banks, a tabac, pharmacy, butchers, bakeries and grocers it also has a supermarket. There are numerous restaurants to eat at and a few bars to sit and watch the world go by. Friday morning is market day, and in the months of July and August a bio market on Sunday mornings with plenty of locally produced items to buy.
