Theme Parks
Universal is a great way to get a lot out of an Orlando vacation without breaking the bank! Joseph and I have been dozens of times (with and without kids), so we are happy to help with tips to get the most out of your day here. We have tried a lot of the restaurants and have ridden every ride and seen every show. The food in the Harry Potter sections is some of the best tasting theme park food we've had. Try a sticky toffee pudding at the Leaky Cauldron!

Food Scene
We don't really like eating on International Drive because most of the restaurants are overpriced with so so service. However, if you must eat on I drive - this restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, good happy hour deals, tasty and unique cocktails, and good service. The food is good but not mind-blowing. We like it for an afternoon snack. Happy hour is from 3-6pm Mon-Fri and includes $3.22 appetizers and draft beer, $4.22 well drinks and wine, and $6.22 signature cocktails

One of the better places for dinner on International Drive. Not quite as touristy as some of the other options with decent prices, given that it is an all you can eat steakhouse. This place has a decent selection of meats on offer and good service. They do also take requests (pineapple!) if you would like a specific item (pineapple!) brought to your table. There is less of a selection of side items here than at most Brazillian steakhouses we've been to, but honestly, that's not what we go there for anyway.

Delicious donuts, and at a pretty reasonable price. Depending on what you get, a donut runs about $1.50 - $5. There is always a super long line for this, so we recommend downloading the Universal app and doing a mobile order about an hour or so before you want donuts. Then, you can just walk in and grab them without any wait at all. If they aren't ready when you get there, the employees will make your order right away if you ask

Easily accessible from the Sun Rail, this park is a very nice place to walk in the evening, people watch, or enjoy the many birds and turtles who live in the lake. If you get thirsty on your walk, you might check out World of Beer, which is right by the walking path and has views over the lake - they have tons of beer options from all over the world, as well as pub food.
