Serving modern Florida cuisine this is the finest dining experience available in Mount Dora. The restaurant has been nominated for the James Beard Foundation’s “Best Restaurant in America". The food is excellent and innovative but the dinner menu is pricey, for a more affordable option try doing lunch instead.

This store boasts the most delicious selection of olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars. You are invited to grab small cups and pieces of bread to sample the wares. I have yet to bring anyone to the store who hasn't left with a bottle of specialty balsamic vinegar. It's just to good to leave empty handed!

Renninger's is a famous antique indoor and outdoor market. Several times a year massive extravaganzas are held that take all day to peruse. There are however permanent shops that boast unique finds year round.

This restaurant has a lovely patio with one of the best views of the lake in town. Great for grabbing cocktails or a drink in the evening. I would not recommend eating here however, the prices are expensive and the food is not usually good.

Palm Island Park has a lovely stretch of nature boardwalk along Lake Dora within walking distance from the Carriage House. Viewing a gator (or two) is practically a guarantee if you go during in the evening hours.

The lighthouse is within walking distance of the Carriage House and makes a good early morning stroll or sunset viewing location. At sunset the entirety of the lake reflects the pink sky and makes for a beautiful photo opportunity.
