i traveled for years to the gulf coast in Northwest Florida. im now in love w Melbourne Beach. The area - especially south were this unit is - is so low density the beach feels private - and many days is! Surf is regular and surfing is popular. The sand color and water color are beautiful - much prettier than what u find typically on east coast - even as close as cocoa beach. If you like the beach your going to love ours! Seeking a crowd - head to any of the many beach side public access parks just north and south of us. Brevard County does a fantastic job keeping these safe and clean. Some have lifeguards. On the other side of the island is the Indian River Lagoon. Early riser? Head to the dock at dawn your likely to spot dolphin. Fishing charters, boat and jet ski rentals and much much more are all available in our area. You and family are going to have fun fun fun in Melbourne Beach

Really a fun little strip of bars, dining and shopping. Worth the drive: Pub Americana and Crush XI are favorites of ours.

Beach Parking/Access
If you prefer to park instead of walk the 400 yards to beach - the south gate has a small complex just outside the gate. It is NOT part of Beach Woods, but people frequently park there. trail to access beach is directly across a1a. i access beach from south side most often. Shortest walk is to take the sidewalk that runs along the north side of the community. You can get to it by using the sidewalks that connect to parking area outside our unit, head left (away from the main road) and you can take the sidewalks on that side around the units and to the beach access walkway.

Indian River Lagoon Tour
Clark runs his boat out of Honest Johns Fish Camp. Its a nature tour worth taking. Clark can get dolphin to chase his boat....really cool to experience.
