23 acres of estate vineyards overlooking Seneca Lake consist only of vinifera varietals. Ventosa Vineyards is known for producing quality dry red wines such as their award-winning Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and the popular Italian varietal Sangiovese. Ventosa is also the first and one of the few New York State wineries that grow and produce Tocai Friulano, a white Italian varietal. When visiting the winery, you will learn about the specific grapes grown there on the estate.
OLDER VINTAGE RED WINES
While their focus is primarily on dry reds, they're committed to producing wines that are sure to please any tasting profile. Ventosa Vineyards wines are 100% estate grown, which means grown, produced and bottled- all on property. In order to accentuate the quality of their red wines, they ensure that they age in oak 1 to 3 years & at least 1 year in the cellar after being bottled. As a result, you will find some of the oldest vintages of red wines in the Finger Lakes here in our winery.
CAFE TOSCANA- try the pizza!
Café Toscana offers a warm setting and light Mediterranean style food. Order from their seasonal menu, daily house specials or schedule a luncheon for your business meetings, celebrations as well as baby and bridal showers. They offer panini, wraps, salads, homemade soups and of course their famous pizza. They have indoor and (seasonal) terrace seating available along with a few picnic tables set up on the side lawn. Get it to-go & have a vineyard picnic! With gluten free pizza shells and gluten free bread now available every day, the chef offers a variety of offerings to those with diet and allergy restrictions.
