This is also close to Lincoln’s Home – great food in a historic home with a microbrewery. The Conn’s who own and run this place have long been restaurateurs in Springfield – this is by far their jewel in their crown. They run an excellent business and if you are a microbrew fan you won’t be disappointed in the drinks or atmosphere.

Sightseeing
It’s a must see!! Make sure to take time to see all the shows – it’s well worth it. The museum is open daily 9a-5pm, but the last tickets are sold at 4pm – you will need more than an hour+ to see everything. 112 North 6th St, Springfield

It’s a National Historic Landmark – if you own the National Parks Passport book – take your book and get your stamp. The tour is free – the grounds are nice to walk. It takes you back to a time long gone; the show inside is a nice historical piece. Open 8:30-5pm daily – Parking in the lot is $2 an hour – there is street parking, but at times it’s hard to find – 413 S 8th St, Springfield
