We will cross Deserts of black sand, Woods, Ancient and Recent Lava Flows and Old Craters in order to admire the fascinating VALLE DEL BOVE. We will also enter lava tubes, created during the volcano's eruptions, equipped with a helmet and flashlights. It'll be fascinating to descover not only their creation but also the secrets they so jelously conceal in their darkness. The MORNING GROUP WALKING TOUR of Palermo lasts 3 hours. My group tour is not just a food tour, but it's a mix of history, culture, architecture, monuments and street food. The MORNING GROUP WALKING TOUR starts at 9.30 am, with me or with my team of official Tour Guides and we will walk for about 4 km. In the first part of the Walking Tour we will visit monuments and churches and in the second part of the Walking Tour we will explore the big outdoor food market and we will eat the famous street food of Palermo (food included, no fish). At the end of the tour I will give you many suggestions of what you can do on your own in Palermo. You will understand Palermo and its old history! This group tour is for 15 people maximum (not suggested for little children under 7 years old, the group tour is in english). Other things to note: Street food tastings like arancini, focaccia, fresh juice, cannoli, etc (it’s like a lunch! food included, no fish) and entrances fees in the churches that we will visit are included. On a typical lesson day we meet in the morning at one of Palermo’s oldest markets, shop around for any items we will need for the lesson and then stroll to the air-conditioned kitchen in The Sicilian Pantry cookery school where we prepare a 4 course Sicilian meal, learning the techniques and tricks needed to recreate it when you return home. Meals are made up of a starter, pasta course, main course and desert (changes can be made for individuals with specific dietary requirements where appropriate). After the lesson we can sit down together to enjoy the fruits of our labour along with a selection of Sicilian wines rounded off with some homemade liqueurs and coffee. We believe that the true expression of Sicilian cuisine comes from the quality of its fresh seasonal produce so we strive to always ensure that we have the best of what Sicily has to offer in order to share this with our guests. This is an entertaining and informative day out, recommended for cooks of all levels. Ci addentreremo lungo i vicoli del mercato, ricco di mercanzie, e qui compreremo tutto l' occorrente per realizzare insieme il menù da voi scelto. Tra le bancarelle ricche di merce , tra colori e voci si avrà l'impressione di stare in uno dei suk di una qualsiasi città musulmana. Visitare un mercato palermitano è un esperienza multiculturale, essi esprimono in pieno la cultura poliedrica e cosmopolita del palermitano. Finiti i nostri acquisti , ci avvieremo verso la mia abitazione, che si trova a pochi minuti da Piazza Politeama. Qui la nostra esperienza proseguirà con la preparazione dei piatti. Sotto la mia supervisione la mia cucina diventerà lo scenario della vostre creazioni culinarie. La cucina siciliana, ritenuta tra le più creative e scenografiche al mondo è strettamente collegata alle vicende storiche, culturali e religiose dell'isola. Please fully read the description. I want to show you not the usual spots like Mondello, but very beautiful places I love. 3 amazing spots: 2 seaside bays and 1 river spot. We'll move along the North coast close to the town of Terrasini, snorkeling, relaxing and discovering the Mediterranean environment. The spots are rather ROCKY with a very clean blue and turquoise water. To finish the day we'll go to explore some natural hot springs along a river, relaxing in the warm water. This tour will be the best way to discover and enjoy the Sicily's seaside. It's up to the host (and conditions) to start the tour visiting a nice sandy beach. Lunch is around 1.30 p.m. with the possibility to eat traditional pasta with fresh fish, street food or ice cream (lunch not included). We will cruise the waters of Siracusa enjoying the sights of Ortigia on board of my Tahiti Ketch, a 30 feet classic sailboat designed in U.S.A. in 1922. According to the weather conditions we will lead to the Marine Protected Area of Plemmirio where we will stop for swimming, sorrounded by nature. We sometime meet dolphins and other sea creatures in this area. While we will be sailing I would like you to help me trying your hand at ruddering Fiesta and trimming the sails with me, as part of the crew. Then we will celebrate the sunset with a nice aperitif in the bay, having a delicious tasting of food and wines made by local farmers and producers. That is the best way to enjoy our sunset. Be aware the route might be changed according to the weather conditions. Questo anno il tour si svolgerà a bordo di una barca a vela nuova, più grande e comoda! Si partirà da Trapani alla volta di FAVIGNANA e LEVANZO, isole dell'Arcipelago delle EGADI, dove esploreremo le cale più suggestive in cui si avrà la possibilità di fare bagni e snorkeling nelle splendide acque dell'Area Marina Protetta. Seguirà una breve sosta a terra su richiesta. Navigheremo a vela e, per chi vorrà, sarà possibile partcipare alle manovre ed alla conduzione dell' imbarcazione. Un' esperienza fuori dagli schemi, a bordo di una barca di 12 metri e mezzo con tutti i comfort, spaziosa e sicura. We climb up the slopes of the Etna volcano, encountering different landscapes; forest, lava desert, caves/lava tube (this is not 100% sure), sandy deserts and other amazing points of views! Then, we get to a perfect place to observe the summit craters and the Bove Valley (the biggest one on Mt.Etna), the reason why Mt.Etna is part of the UNESCO heritage! Walking along the ridge, you will enjoy the view of the active summit craters, of the Ionian sea and of the Italian peninsula. We will descend through fun sandy canyons, which will take us to the top of some ancient craters born during last years! To get to the meeting point : - By rental car, there is a big parking. - By BUS : get BRT1 Bus line (the fast bus line in Catania). Other things to note: This is not an experience for tourists but for travelers that love walking, trekking and the adventure. I will give to you the best I can, this is my mission !

Meeting Point al Giardino Bellini di Catania(ingresso principale in via Etnea), luogo di svago e relax, detta dai catanesi “A Villa”. Dopo una breve visita del Giardino il nostro tour proseguirà per la via Etnea, la principale via di Catania ricca di bellezze in stile Barocco e Liberty da fotografare e ammirare. La nostra passeggiata proseguirà all'interno delle vie caratteristiche di Catania, arriveremo a Piazza Federico di Svevia sede del Castello Ursino, in cui faremo una breve sosta e disseterete il vostro palato con seltz, limone e sale ossia una bevanda tipica catanese analcolica. Tappa immancabile sarà la pescheria, in cui potrete vivere con pienezza il folklore della città di Catania. Il tour proseguirà attraversando “Piazza Duomo”, dove potrete immortalare il simbolo della città, “U liotru”, una statua in pietra lavica raffigurante un elefante. Successivamente ci dirigeremo verso la Piazza icona dell'opera di Catania, Piazza Teatro Massimo sede dell'omonimo teatro Vincenzo Massimo Bellini, caratterizzata dallo stile Liberty. Infine visiteremo la fiera di Catania, detta “ a fera o' luni”, in cui sono presenti bancarelle di ogni tipo. Usciti dalla fiera degusterete un pezzo della nostra tipica tavola calda siciliana(cipollina, pizzetta, cartocciata o bolognese). Come rendere la tua vacanza a Palermo unica ? Una full immersion nel vulcano attivo più alto d'Europa, che da millenni affascina filosofi, artisti, scienziati e viaggiatori provenienti da ogni parte del mondo. Durante l'esperienza, attraversando paesini etnei dal caratteristico color nero "basalto" e la lussureggiante campagna etnea, raggiungeremo il punto di partenza del nostro percorso di trekking. Sarà sorprendente camminare tra fitti boschi di betulle, pino o faggio, per poi improvvisamente attraversare quella che i locali conosciamo come "Sciara", il desolatamente affascinante deserto vulcanico. Ammireremo tutta la bellezza e le contraddizioni di questo vulcano sempre in trasformazione: tra crateri estinti, paesaggi ora brulli ora lussureggianti, con una flora "eroica" che si è adattata a condizioni estreme. Durante il percorso di trekking che durerà 4h, scopriremo i vari ed interessanti fenomeni vulcanici etnei, faremo un pic-nic nel bosco durante il quale vi offrirò un bicchiere di vino etneo. Sarà un'esperienza autentica, durante la quale vi racconterò la nostra "Muntagna", dalla prospettiva di chi l'ha sempre vissuta dalle sue pendici. Vi parlerò di storia geologica, flora e fauna. Vi racconterò la mia terra anche dal punto di vista storico, antropologico, linguistico ed enogastronomico. Ma soprattutto proverò a trasmettere il viscerale legame che esiste da ormai tre millenni tra la terra vulcanica e le sue genti

Uno tra i trekking più suggestivi che proponiamo è quello ai crateri sommitali dell'Etna La salita si effettua in funivia e pulmini 4×4 fino a quota 2900m nella zona di Torre del Filosofo, da qui dopo circa 1,5h di cammino in salita si arriva sull’orlo del Cratere centrale dal quale si osserva la Bocca Nuova (3250m), apertasi nel 1968, probabilmente il cratere più impressionante. Aggirando la Bocca Nuova ci si ritrova sull’orlo della Voragine, il cuore del Cratere Centrale e da qui salendo in ripida ma breve salita per il Cratere di Nord Est, formatosi nel 1911 e vera e propria cima dell’Etna (3329m). Dalla cima possiamo spaziare a 360° con lo sguardo, e se la giornata lo permette scorgere verso nord le isole Eolie. Surrounded by a lunar landscape, we will learn to understand and explore Mount Etna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its beauty and uniqueness. Strolling along the largest volcano in Europe, you will admire the imposing volcanic structure with its typical flora and fauna. We will visit one of the most fascinating sites where you can watch the sunset together (you will not see the sun setting but only appreciate the colors). We will enter a lava tube, created during the volcano's eruptions, equipped with a helmet and flashlights. It will be fascinating to discover not only their creation, but also the secrets that they hide so jealously in their darkness.
