Det er litt over 2 km til Magnor sentrum med blant annet Magnor Glassverk og porselen, Ingelsrud konditori, Kiwi og bensinstasjon. Til Skotterud er det ca 7 km, gangvei helt dit. Flere butikker og kafeer. Kongsvinger Golfklubb ligger 25 km unna.
