Cottage ġewwa Ashbury
Romantic & Secluded Cottage. Beautiful Walks & Fantastic Pub
Head off on a scenic country stroll to a local heritage site, then step into the rolltop bath for a relaxing evening soak. Patterned rugs, warm tones, and a log burner beckon for cosy evenings in at this restored period abode with historic charm.
Note* The Cottage stands alone sat in the edge of the church grounds at the top of a quiet street. So it is safe in regard to keeping socially distant.
Our cleaner will also be spending extra special care with her cleaning routine under the new government guidelines with COVID-19.
Churchyard Cottage has been renovated and decorated to the highest standards whilst retaining its characteristic beauty and charm. Relax by the log burner and ease and soak your muscles after a long days walk in the rolltop bath...!
The cottage is set within easy walking or travelling distance to some of the country’s most popular heritage sights and attractions – such as: White Horse Hill, Wayland’s Smithy, Stone Henge, Roman Baths in Bath, The Cotswold’s, the City of Oxford and more… Its privacy, seclusion and superb location are so necessary for the perfect romantic break and are ideally offset by the closeness of facilities in and around the village of Ashbury. Fantastic Public House – The Rose & Crown Pub is just a stone’s throw away from the cottage and has been reviewed highly by many of our previous quests on how friendly the staff are and how great the food/service is making this an additional perk to their stay. Sleeps 2.
The whole cottage and all available facilities. It is yours to enjoy for the duration of your stay.
You are left in peace to enjoy your stay at Churchyard Cottage but we are always available should you require any assistance or information on the area.
This quiet street sits next to St Mary the Virgin church in the charming village of Ashbury. The Rose and Crown pub is minutes' walk away and the Ridgeway is on the doorstep, renowned for fantastic walks and described as Britain's first road.
Swindon mainline station is a £20 fare away. Approx 15 minutes. However, we would recommend a car during your stay. It is rural.
Please park only in the space at the bottom of the Church car park (behind the neighbouring house) signposted Churchyard Cottage.
The washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the shed. The key for this is hanging on the beam in the kitchen. Secure bike storage is available
