The old stone house is situated on a B road, with light work buildings to one side and rural setting to the other. There are lovely walks along the river side and also canal. For train spotters 2 railway lines for viewing. There are parks and fishing. 15 mins drive to the amazing Meadowhall shopping centre. Central to Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield. Close to picturesque ancient villages, monuments, Inns and restaurants. The apartment is small but quirky and great for short stays.

Carnegie Library: Bronte Apartment

Carnegie Library, built in 1906 and continued as a library up until 1970s. This apartment was the reading room. Beautiful original large arched windows bring natural light to the place. It is an unusual layout with mezzanine floor for the bedroom and a little nook area for the sofa bed. Separate bathroom with shower etc. Please note you are coming to an ex mining village so while Swinton it's self is not a holiday area , it is central to many interesting places around.
