Restored 90 year old farm building separate from house overlooking the McPherson Ranges and Mount Barney on a 17 acre farm block with animals. Great place to stay if you are walking Mt Barney, Mt May or Mt Maroon - 40 mins drive north. The cottage can accommodate 3 people using a queen bed and a trundle bed (extra $15/night). The cottage runs on solar power (off the grid); gas cooktop; gas hot water; septic toilet; tank water and wood heater. Dean's shed is overflowing with stories and harness.

This accommodation is in the middle of town but on the edge of the countryside. Kalbar, once a sleepy little town is now a thriving tourist town with new businesses and more noise at times. Though the room is compact with a double bed it offers all the comforts. It has a private entrance with its own veranda, a modern ensuite bathroom, reverse cycle air-conditioning as well as Wifi, TV, a small fridge and microwave. But, step outside to the coffee shop, pub, supermarket and other conveniences.

Cheese Maker's Cottage

Historical 1930's cabin. Once the home of the resident cheese maker. Restored to suit the style of the time. Situated on a cattle property in the picturesque McPherson Ranges. Has a fishing dam closeby. Sits below Mt. Edinburgh Castle. The property is part of the ancient Gondwana rain forest. From Woodenbong, take Glennie Street, which becomes Boomi Creek Road, keep on the sealed road at the Brumby Creek turn. Travel a further approx 6km. Our place is not suited to young children.
