The characterful cottage has plenty of warmth and charm, yet has all modern facilities including its own private and secluded, wood fuelled, chemical-free hot tub in the garden, which offers a natural bathing experience. A path leads from the cottage through fields to the owners’ working beef and sheep farm where guests can enjoy country walks. A large field with river frontage offers fishing rights in the River Banwy. Conveniently located near to the borders of Shropshire and north Wales, with scenic routes to every area, guests will find more than enough to keep them occupied no matter what their interests. Nearby attractions include Powys Castle, Lake Vyrnwy and Bala Lake. Visit Snowdonia, where guests can enjoy mountain biking, Zipworld, Bounce Below, white water rafting and gorge walking to name but a few activities. Quad trekking is available near Welshpool, 10 miles, and paintballing, go karting, Chirk Castle and Attingham Park are around a 40-minute drive. The beautiful Cambrian coastline can be reached in around 45 minutes. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Welcome to the Old Granary. We are a high quality barn conversion with five bedrooms capable of comfortably sleeping two people in each. With half an acre of fenced land plenty of space (and views) to get away from it all. We get great reviews from couples, families (with kids), ideal for fitness retreats , dog friendly, and family get togethers. As per the Airbnb regulations parties and events are not allowed. Noise is a particular issue given our neighbours especially after 22:00.
