Country Stay with Mount Kakepuku Views

Breathe the fresh country air at this contemporary architecture retreat. On the outside, the home features a sleek industrial aesthetic and a private outdoor bath, while the inside bursts with a boutique design style, neutral greys, and wood accents. The Kakepuku Country Stay is nestled under the beautiful Mt Kakepuku and is a refreshing escape out of the city. Your self contained farmstay includes modern facilities yet retains the rural feel. A farm breakfast is provided. You have the option of continental and/or a self cooked breakfast with free range eggs from our chickens. There is a large fridge freezer with fresh drinking water. A kitchenette includes basic cooking facilities with a convection microwave oven, induction stove top with pots/frying pan and toaster. Basic pantry items are included (olive oil, vinegar, salt & pepper and tomato sauce) Top quality fresh linen is provided on the comfortable queen size bed. There is plenty of blankets, an electric blanket and heater to make sure your stay is warm and cosy. The space is tastefully decorated showcasing local art. Fragrant soap, shampoo and conditioner provided in the newly renovated shower. We live on the property but will respect your privacy. Mountain bikes available for hire on request. 7 minute drive into the local town Te Awamutu. 2 minute drive from the local mountain Mt Kakepuku. A lovely bush walk 2-3 hours return or Grade 2 mountain bike (https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/waikato/places/kakepuku-mountain-historic-reserve/tracks/kakepuku-track/) 30 minute drive to the tourist hotspot Waitomo Glowworm Caves National Fieldays at Mystery Creek is a 25 minute drive. 25 minutes to Hamilton Airport. Our animals are quiet and friendly but please respect their space and approach when we are around. Our family home is located on the property (to the left down the driveway with the Airbnb to the right) and we are available to answer any questions. Welcome to chat over a cup of tea/glass of wine or leave you in peace. You may see us pottering in the garden or feeding the pets. The country stay is located down a quintessential New Zealand country road. Surrounded by dairy farms and kiwi fruit orchards, guests may see farmers about their daily work. Feel free to wave out to them if they drive past in their tractors. We are situated 7 minutes from Te Awamutu and from public transport. You will need to get to the Country Stay by driving a car. We can provide a bassinet available if you have a baby.
