Actually it would be a crime to have coffee here, it's a specialty tea house, great cream teas - I like chai teas and duck salads. Lovely little courtyard.

It's not the best food in Fowey, but it's one of the best locations. Go right through, to the small veranda over the sea and try to get a seat.

I love it here. Good place to end the hall walk on before getting the ferry back to Fowey. (You get the Ferry to Polruan to start the Hall walk) Great views up the river from the terraces.

Fab old pub - try the coastal path from Polruan to lovely Polperro (the walk is called the roller coaster, tough, good though) and wind up here. Or go on a boat trip to Polperro from Fowey Quay.

One of Daphne Du Maurier's houses, now closed, but the near by beach is lovely, it has a lake and a stone cottage next to it. It's on the coast path, on the way from Fowey to Polkerris.

You can get the ferry to Mevagissy from fowey and then it's about a 90 minute walk to The Lost Garden (if you can find it) ho ho, actually it's easy to find and seriously worth a trip.

This tiny little aquarium has been on this earth longer than I have... and I'm old! I still love going there, have done since I was small. All local fish and sea creatures.
