Food Scene
Not cheap, but a LOT of fun, interesting/wonderful food, great cocktails (try the Chili flavoured Mother Earth) and really cool staff who know and love their food and wine. One for a special occasion.

The Buzz
349A King StreetCute little local haunt - unpretentious, nice coffee, friendly staff and surprisingly big.
Nice breakfast, family friendly, sofas and big tables. Loud on the weekends, quiet during the day. Good cafe food and you can get a glass of wine.

Shopping
King Street has lots of good bookshops. This is my own favourite. Staff actually read, great and big selection and so nice to buy a real book from a small local business not a big chain.

Everything Else
Check out the churchyard. It's where famous people are buried; part of the film Priscilla Queen of the Desert was shot there. Tumble down headstones, huge trees, great atmosphere.

Arts & Culture
Recently renovated (some locals liked it better when it was a bit daggy) but I love it both ways. Arthouse movies, good membership scheme and program changes often.
