The North Fork Bungalow is your perfect Sierra getaway, with the North Fork of the Yuba River flowing behind the house and the Sierra Buttes towering above the front door. Nestled in the mountain hamlet of Sierra City, this cabin serves as the ideal launchpad for mountain adventures - and a cozy place to recover when it's time to relax. Newly remodeled, spic and span, and oh so comfy. This historic cabin has deep roots and modern upgrades.Three bedrooms, two full baths, sleeps 6. And they will sleep well - worn out from mountain adventures, serenaded by a mountain stream. And if the next day you don't feel like bagging a peak, you can just walk a quarter mile into town and get some ice cream. (The mountains won't mind.) There is no better place from which to launch your adventures. You can see the Sierra Buttes from the living room. Trout beckon from the river in the back yard. The Pacific Crest Trail is 3 minutes away. Gotta Bike? Starting line for the Downieville Classic is half mile from your door. Wanna paddle? The Lakes Basin is a 15 minute drive. *Internet in the area can be spotty and unpredictable. We do have AT&T, but it is not always reliable. Power outages are rare, but do happen here from time to time. No refunds given for power or internet outages. *Short walk to the river can be challenging for some. Please note that we do not rent the Bungalow during winter months. Rental is available mid-May-September.
