Pian della Chiesa is an 8 hectares estate that sits on top of the Caprione peninsula, 900 meters from the Mediterranean and 350 meters above sea level. It has different accommodation solutions: Murella (host 6), Dolina (host 6), Dolinetta (host 4), Bungalow (host 4) and Concara (host 2). It is in an ideal position for exploring the hill villages and coast of the Cinque Terre, Liguria and Northern Tuscany. Set in a Natural Park that is mainly made up of typical Mediterranean woods of umbrella pines, helms and Turkish oaks, woven with paths, and bordering the beautiful and steep coastline of Southern Liguria. It is ideally set for exploring the small villages on the coast, with delicious fish restaurants and hidden coves from which to swim. The Cinque Terre are easily reachable, with miles of walking paths on the craggy coastline, punctuated by villages clinging to the edge of the coast, with steep vineyards where the grapes are collected in mini-funicular train arrangements. Alternatively you might head east, towards the Apennines and the Apuan Alps, made of the famous Carrara marble so loved by Michelangelo. Deep valleys hold traces of the Romans and of the ancient indigenous population called the Lunis. The mountains also harbour delicious restaurants and charming villages worth exploring. The classic cities of Tuscany are also not far away, with Pisa and Lucca around an hour away, while Florence is just under 2 hours. In an ideal position for exploring the coast of the Cinque Terre, Liguria and Northern Tuscany. Perched on the steep hills above the sea is set in a 8 hectare fenced estate in the middle of the Montemarcello Natural Park. This stone house comfortably sleeps 6. In the garden there is a beautiful private swimming pool (10m x 3m) built into the terraced slope. The pool has a heating appliance that, if necessary, can increase the temperature by 2-3 degrees during the day. All ground floor rooms have French windows, making the outside pergola and garden part of the everyday use of the house and giving a very summery feel. Walking in from the large pergola one enters an elegantly furnished living-dining room focuses on an ancient fireplace, flanked by the corridor leading to a well-equipped kitchen and an antique glass cabinet for glasses and crockery. From the kitchen a door leads to a bathroom and to a high-ceiling double bedroom and with French windows to the garden. The stairs lead up from the kitchen to a half-landing with twin bedroom and shower-room. Further up there is a last double bedroom with ensuite shower-room. Murella is also provided with a cosy and fully functional fireplace in the living/dining area. Wood logs are provided and free of charge. We produce a fine organic red wine called 'Margot'. Romantic cottage in the hedge of a basin in the oak woods of the Montemarcello Natural Park. Perfect for forays into the Cinque Terre or neighboring villages and a wonderful place to stay at home, lounging in a hammock stretched between the trees. Concara has been converted to be perfect for a couple, with a bedroom upstairs and a living room, bathroom with shower and kitchen on the ground floor. A small sofa in the living room converts into a bed if you wish to book it for three, but space will be limited. The kitchen and dining room have been built into a glass extension of the main building, creating a wonderful and bright space in which to cook. A lawn extends in front of the kitchen, bordered by low dry-stone walls in limestone that serve all around to terrace the hill. Next to our terraced Cabernet Franc vineyard you can enjoy our shared 10mx 3m pool with 4 sun loungers and a Balinese bed. We produce a fine organic red wine called 'Margot'. Very fast Starlink WiFi, ideal for remote working. Concara is equipped with a welcoming and efficient wood-burning oven. Wood logs are free. Central heating is available but not included.
