Fresh pasta in a professional Pastificio
You will learn how to make many types of homemade pasta in a real laboratory of pasta, reviewed among the "best 10 pastificio in Rome" . We will start with handmade pasta, made with different kind of flours: like ancient grain Triticum Monococcum, Grano Saraceno (buckwheat) and wholemeal flour. We will do thin sheets dough, explanation of safe food cutting procedures, realization of three types of ravioli, tortellini, fettuccine with two typical Italian sauces. The experience includes a delicious tasting of local cheese and Italian Prosecco.
We can also accomodate GLUTEN allergy guests and VEGAN guests for a very tasty fresh pasta.
We will cook all pasta and the sauces made during the class, eating our different kind of pasta done, sipping good Italian wine. An express tiramisu preparation will follow as a dessert. Moreover, to all the participants will be offered complimentary, the exclusive Professional Chef Hat with logo of "Pastificio Faini". In additional to the regular program, everyday of the week a different version will be presented: Monday and Saturday Carbonara sauce; Tuesday-Friday-Thursday CacioPepe sauce; Wednesday amatriciana.

Fun Games Colosseum & Forum Kids/Family
The whole family will enjoy this fun trip to discover the most famous amphitheatre in the world, the Colosseum on a 2.5-hour walking tour. This is the best way to see Rome and get a closer look at its magnificent landmarks.
This is a special tour because it's suited to families. Instead of rushing through the major sites with bored children who going home not having understood what they saw.
We want the children to do the complete opposite and gain understanding of Ancient Rome as they play games and learn about gladiators, ferocious animals and emperors. Designed specifically to enhance imagination, engage kids, get them thinking, our kid-friendly guides have tailor-made the activities to different age groups.
Together we'll visit the Colosseum and the ruins of the Roman Forum. Both sites can be seen on your own but they won't be half the fun! Be prepared for photo contests, quizzes, trivia and more as you make your way around.

We are a funny and unique roman family, all born and raised in Rome and if you want to try what the roman traditions (culinary and otherwise) really are, you have to knock at our door. We will meet in a our wonderful house situated at the top of Gianicolo Hill, a historic and central place and you will be greeted with wine and appetizer funny stories and new friends. During our cooking class of traditional roman food we will tell you a lot of stories about culinary methods and customs, passed down through generations. We will start by preparing the Tiramisù, followed by creating pasta from scratch using eggs and water , finally, preparing two different types of sauces. You will have the opportunity to join all together the food that we prepared drinking complimentary wine. Later you can enjoy one of the most impressive views of the Eternal City a short distance from our doorstep. We delight in welcoming you to dine as an authentic Roman with homemade food, entertainment and laughs!

Ancient Mosaic-Making
Throughout the years, we have mastered different mosaic techniques, both traditional and modern. That is why you will find the studio full of original tools, sketches by famous Italian artists, and important mosaics masterpieces.
The workshop will begin with an introduction to Roman mosaic technique and history. Afterwards, you will practice the principles of texture, composition and marble tile cutting to create your own mosaic to take home. It is fundamental to us to transfer the real techniques of Roman Mosaic craft. Therefore, your mosaic will be correct and based on strict rules.
A master mosaicist will share important tips, and provide the assistance you need to ensure the best result.

Visiting the Colosseum with an archaeologist who really worked in the area, makes this experience unique! Forget the big groups and the crowd, we privilege only small groups, in order to avoid the long lines and maximize the engagement and pleasure of the experience.

The granmas of our small village will show you how to prepare the perfect handmade pasta—no machines, just your hands, the freshest local ingredients, and love.
All of these women started to make pasta in their childhood, keeping alive a tradition that is slowly disappearing. And they are ready to pass it to you!
You’ll be part of our crazy big family for a day and join us as we walk the tiny medieval streets of Palombara Sabina to Grandma’s kitchen, located in the old winepress where my great-grandpa used to make wine that the community tapped straight from the barrel (or in Grandma's home... according to the weather). It's a special place for my family and the entire village.
We will cook Ravioli, Fettuccine and Farfalle... you will be in a food coma at the end of the experience!
Please Note: Nonna Nerina is 86 yo so she could feel tired. In that case there will be Grandma Angela, Auntie Giovanna and all the rest of the family to take care of you!!!
Colosseum Underground & Dungeons Experience, w/ Roman Forum
Connect with ancient Rome on this special access tour of the Colosseum Dungeons, Roman Forum and Cesar's Palace.
During the visit we'll uncover the Colosseum's dark 2,000 year history and gain restricted access to sites only accessible with accredited guides.
At the Colosseum we'll skip the long ticket lines and venture into the dungeons, a labyrinth of passages, elevators, and trap doors which were used to bring gladiators and animals up to the arena floor, shocking and thrilling the crowds.
Next you'll walk in the same steps as emperors, gladiators and doomed prisoners on the arena floor. The arena floor is where the Colosseum's violent games took place, and gives you the visual perspective of gladiators, as well as a great opportunity for photos.
You'll also have free time to explore the Colosseum's 1st and 2nd levels before we head to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.
In the Forum, we'll visit pagan temples and tombs, the house of the Vestal Virgins, the Senate house, and Julius Cesare's tomb, among other important ancient ruins.

Ostia Antica The Hidden City
Ostia Antica is a stunningly preserved ancient Roman city—one of the best in Italy. During our time together, I will bring the ancient city to life as we pick our way through 2000-year-old apartment complexes, visit a bygone restaurant, and learn about bizarre religious cults.
Why Ostia Antica instead of Pompeii? There are three reasons, 1) Ostia it's much closer and easier to visit (25-minute train ride); 2) Ostia is a better example of a real, working class town than Pompeii; 3) visiting Ostia has a lower carbon footprint than visiting Pompeii, and given the crowds at the latter and general "undiscovered" feeling of the former, it's a more enjoyable, enriching experience.
We begin our Ostia Antica Tour in Rome, at Piramide Metro B station, with a short 25 minutes train ride toward the Mediterranean sea. Along the way, I will discuss the regional geography of the area, Ostia's role as Rome's port, and the historic background leading up to the town's rise in the Imperial era. On site, we will spend 2,5 hours combing through the ruins, which include some of the best examples of baths, a fantastic amphitheater, and several Mithraic temples, not to mention a forum with temples.

Only one place in the world comes close to this steampunk fantasy, one of Rome's most unforgettable museums: Centrale Montemartini. Housed in a decommissioned thermoelectric plant in the post-industrial neighborhood of Garbatella, it contains an incredible (and seldom visited) collections of ancient Greek and Roman sculpture. White marble against black iron; graceful goddesses framed by massive turbines; the stately monuments of Imperial Rome set against the hulking relics of industrial capitalism. The whole complex is one of the most disorienting, unexpected and awe-inspiring sites in Italy.
Centrale Montemartini is a satellite collection of the famous Musei Capitolini, housing some of the more recent and incredible finds that couldn't fit in the main museum. On our visit we'll see some of the most beautiful and powerful works of art to survive from the ancient world, including colossal statues of gods, portraits of emperors, as well as mosaics, tombs and paintings. We'll also do a bit of "Industrial Archaeology", checking out the innards of this 20th Century relic.

Learn to cook some typical Roman dishes like a genuine Roman
After a welcome drink, you will be welcomed into our kitchen and we will explain all the ingredients that are needed to cook the typical dishes of the Roman tradition: carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, gricia and cacio-gricia. Then, step by step, we will cook together learning how to use correctly the ingredients and also sharing with you some technical secrets. Each time, you will have the opportunity to consume the dishes that you have cooked in an informal context: that is, outdoors, inside the largest and newest market in the historic district called Garbatella. At the end of the experience you will receive also the recipes that you had learn to cook.

During the all process you will be help by a passionate English speaking Chef.
Treat yourself to a cozy location, a few steps away from the Vatican Museum. Take a moment and have an authentic Italian aperitif: Spritz and homemade crunchy cheese and pepepr chips.
After this brief warm up, we prepare three great classics of Italian cuisine: Fresh Pasta (Fettuccine, Maltagliati or Tagliatelle), homemade Ravioli and delicious Tiramisù. Each participant has a single station to work from, a wood board, apron and a rolling pin.
Your pasta will be seasoned with my best Roman sauce, passing from the classic tomato & basil to a tasty Carbonara. Last but not least Make and Eat tiramisù, with which you can explore your imagination, declining the traditional recipe with a selection of tasty ingredients.
Tomato Bruschetta cook in a wood oven and another meal drink are included in the menu.

In this newborn experience you will create, all from scratch, your homemade 5 shapes of fresh pasta in a "Antica Osteria" founded in the late 1800s and recently converted into cooking school. You will taste your own pasta, with two different kind of italian fresh sauce, created and explained by the chef, immersed in a magical atmosphere between past and present.
You will make the thin dough sheet with the rolling pin professional technique, safe food cutting procedures, realization of ravioli, agnolotti del plin, tortellini cappelletti and fettuccine. The experience includes a delicious tasting of local cheese with fresh prosecco. Tasting our different kind of pasta, sipping good Italian wine, an express tiramisu preparation will follow as a dessert.
