There is a beautiful walk along the riverbank near Wren's Nest, out to the old lighthouse at Crookhaven and back along Culburra beach
A good, easy walk around the headland north of Culburra Beach. Ruins of an old lighthouse, great coastal views. Do this walk as an easy hour or so, or combine with other tracks along the Crookhaven riverfront for a more substantial hike. And you may see whales off the shore if you visit between May and November.
Great little bush walk through gorgeous terrains to the lighthouse and lookouts beyond
A great little trail over the headland and up to the old (no longer functioning) lighthouse and more impressive 2 lookout points. Quite a few steps make this walk not stroller friendly, however we manage it with a 2 year old (mostly walking) and a baby in a carrier.
Aside from the keepers cottages at South Solitary Island, this is probably the most endangered lighthouse in New South Wales and should be of great concern to lighthouse enthusiasts and the community at large. The original lighthouse was constructed of timber in 1882 and located as part of the Shoalhaven Signal Station on the beach 200 metres to the west of the current lighthouse. The apparatus had been a brass lantern.
