An ulu is a very handy device for chopping in the kitchen and makes a nice gift from Alaska...probably can't carry it on your flight though...just sayin'.

This factory makes ulus and has great souvenirs as well as being by Ship Creek where you can often see fishermen reeling in their catch.

You'll want to pick up an Ulu knife while you're here. They are a native knife and so functional in the kitchen.
