Closer to Peaceful Ridge Retreat, the Castelli Winery up Mt Shafford is also a favourite. The lunch at the winery restaurant is very good and up there the views of the region are breath taking.

Glancing down the valley from the hills of Mt Shadforth, you will see what is one of Western Australia’s most beautiful, and eye catching wineries – Castelli Estate. From its Tudor style architecture and the winery’s stone walls, or the grand arches in our underground barrel room or under our winery’s acutely pitched roof, the facility evinces beauty to match its functionality. Castelli’s winemakers concentrate on achieving symmetry in each wine. For white wines the interaction of fruit intensity, acid profile, phenolic extraction and oak (if used) are carefully assessed.
