The helipad at the top of the KICC building is accessible for a few dollars. It’s the only place in the city where you get a 360 degree view and is perfect for getting a sense of the streets’ layout. At sunset, you can see Nairobi coming alive at rush hour, streetlights coming on, and people looking like ants coming from work. Listen for the touts shouting for customers from the Kencom Bus Stop. One of the biggest stops in the city, it’s always packed with people coming and going. You’ll also spot people running for the 6pm train through Kibera, a huge informal settlement in the city.
