Sidmouth is a town caught in timeless charm. Located along the Jurassic Coast with beautiful gardens, royal connections, clean beaches, access to the South West Coast Path, Nature Reserves and a real friendly and welcoming atmosphere, along with a Regency feel, there are plenty of places to explore.
An amazing pebble beach. Go to Jacobs ladder if you want a section with sand. There are businesses on the sea front that offer water sports equipment hire. And there are plenty of places to get refreshments and snacks. People often take a bbq down and some drinks to enjoy the sunset.
The sea front is less than a 200m walk from Chapel Mews. Known as the Gateway to the Jurassic Coast, Sidmouth sea front is flanked by stunning views of the cliffs and Lyme Bay. The beach itself is pebble and sand with rock pools at low tide and is ideally suited to families and people of all ages. Along the sea front are hotels with restaurants open to the public, bars, cafes and of course the all important ice creams and fish & chips.
