The Municipal Market of Guimarães is the place where you are guaranteed to find the freshest products of all kinds (vegetables, fruits, flowers, meat and fish, etc.). It is only at the Municipal Market that you will find products locally grown by the vendors themselves. The municipal market runs Monday to Saturday, being Friday the busiest day because it is also the Weekly Market day just across the street. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, a Second-Hand Market is held on the Municipal Market. You can find coins, books, records, clothes among a number of used everyday items.
