If you only have time for one museum while in KC this is the one to explore! With several floors full of all different styles of art and a huge sculpture garden surrounding the grounds, you can spend hours at the Nelson. The huge shuttlecocks on the front lawn are a landmark for KC and we often spend entire afternoons just throwing a frisbee on the lawn. There are a couple of restaurants inside that are also amazing. We recommend Cafe Sebastien.

Exhibits change. There are always so many pieces to see at the Nelson. I never get tired of it. Also, Union Station has noteworthy exhibits, as does Crown Center.
