Normally held each year the 4th Saturday in October, the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival will take you back to years gone by with contests of mule jumping, horse pulling, coondog treeing and swimming. Learn how to make molasses, butcher, and how the pioneers lived day to day. Enjoy the local mountain crafts, storytelling, and singing. Lots of local organizations provide plenty of food and drink.
