This is one of the first places recommended to us when staying in Blowing Rock, and we have come back innumerable times since. We suggest parking at the picnic tables as you’ll find there is a stream that meanders behind. With a good book and blanket, you can stay all day as kids/dogs frolic in the stream. When we come, we spend hours playing in the water – our children love seeing the fish, frogs and snakes. We usually get so sucked into the streams that we don’t venture too far. However, Price Park is also home to an extensive set of hiking trails directly connected for those looking to get in more hikes.

Great park for a hike. The park has lakes, several waterfalls and some meadows. Dogs are allowed on the trails and elsewhere in the park. Take it easy on the Price Lake Loop Trail (great for kids) or the Boone Fork Trail for more of a challenge.
Off mile post 297 - the Julian Price park offers kayak, canoe and standup paddle board rentals.
A majestic 4,200 acres at the foot of Grandfather Mountain named in honor of Julian Price comprises this popular park. Julian Price Memorial Park lies directly adjacent to Moses H. Cone Memorial Park. Tons of activities include 100+ picnic sites, nature and hiking trails, seasonal events and programs, boat and canoe rentals, and fishing.
