Good interpretive centre and interpretive film. Cafeteria to warm up in if visiting on a cool day and washrooms. Very busy mid day.
A full day trip. Be sure to stop at the Athabasca Falls and Sunwapta Falls along the way. At the Icefields you can walk to the toe of the glacier, take a snow coach tour out onto the ice, book the skywalk tour and explore the interpretive centre.
We took the snow bus, it's called the Columbia Icefield Adventure, and went on the Athabasca Glacier. Very fun. It's very majestic at the top of the world, as there is one of two tri-continental divides in the world within sight.
