Willamette Mission State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Oregon, located about four miles north of Keizer adjacent to the Wheatland Ferry and east of the Willamette River. It includes Willamette Station Site, Methodist Mission in Oregon, which is listed by the National Register of Historic Places
A gorgeous retreat for cyclists, birdwatchers, disc golfers, and kayakers, Willamette Mission State Park has something for everyone. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the park marks the site of the original Willamette Mission, established in 1834 and washed away by flood in 1861. Make a day of it! Pack a picnic and take the Wheatland Ferry.
Willamette Mission state park is located along the Willamette River and features miles of paved walking paths . It also provides opportunities to view wildlife.
Willamette Mission State Park is directly across the river from the cabin. Take the Wheatland Ferry across (two minute drive from the cabin) and parking is just on the other side of the ferry. You can also park your car at the ferry, and ride across. Pedestrians can cross for free. Cars cross for $3.
