Formed by nature and in my opinion is Manawatū best hidden gem, these stunning caves are host to glow worms which can be seen during the day, but are best seen at night or on dusk. The full 600m adventure will take you through caves, spectacular gorges and across a running stream. How to get here: Located in northern Manawatū, just north of Āpiti, on Table Flat Road (gravel road). Follow the signs to Sixtus Lodge. Limestone Creek Reserve is sign posted on the right-hand side of the road about 2km before Sixtus Lodge. Please note: the road is not accessible to buses and trailers, and only has limited road side parking. The access to the cave is on Limestone Road.
