A 400-Metre Outdoor Track Located in scenic Lakefield, Ontario, the Ontario Speed Skating Oval provides recreational skaters and speed skaters the opportunity to skate outdoors on a 400-metre track. With free public skating sessions, club practices, sessions for school groups, and special events, the Oval is the place to be throughout the winter season!

This is a truly unique skating experience. Check out this outdoor 400-meter track. You can bring your own skates and skate for free. On the weekends, skate rentals are available. Located about 15 minutes away from the cottage. Visit Ontario Speed Skating Oval to reserve your tickets.

The speed skating oval also hosts a trail head at the top of the hill which takes you through fields above Lakefield. Highly recommend for off leash dog runs.
