If you're not shy & up for an adventure, don't miss a summer's day on UBC's Wreck Beach! A 7.8km nudist paradise, you'll feel far from the hustle bustle of the city. Great swimming when the tide is in or take a stroll out on the sandbars when its out. Play frisbee, enjoy the beats of the drum circle or just chill & soak up the relaxed 'anything goes' environment. Just remember: no photos please! Respect is a must :)

Wreck Beach (near Acadia Beach) is an internationally acclaimed and Vancouver's only clothing optional beach. It spans 7.8 km long. Leave the city behind and escape to this paradise with a fun loving hippy culture and serene ocean view. The beach is maintained by the Wreck Beach Preservation Society. Warning: Prepare yourselves as the only way in to (and out of) the beach is by a staircase of about 500 wooden steps that descend down to the beach from the road. While it may be easy to take the stairs down some may find it hard to climb back up the stairs at the end of your trip. Also, the beach does not offer flush toilets but there are portable toilets for use.
