Fun hike but strenuous. All down hill going, so all up hill coming back. Beautiful. Above the parking area is Iron Point. A wonderful lookout into the American River Canyon. Turn Right on Ridge Rd, go under the Freeway and Turn left onto Casa Loma Rd Turn right to stay on Casa Loma Rd 1.8 mi Turn right to stay on Casa Loma Rd 459 ft Turn left to stay on Casa Loma Rd You will go over a set of railroad tracks. LOOK for TRAINS! Continue to the end of the road.
