The village of the artisans. They used to walk over the mountain every day to work on the tombs of the Pharaohs. Some tombs of the nobles here too and a temple down the back. Temple of Meretseger.
Our favorite place, it is the village of all the artisans which made the King and Queen Tombs in the Theban mountain. You can visit some of their own tombs , intimist, full of colors.
This is the artist valley of ancient Thebes... where the artisans of the temples lived. It lets you imagine the daily lives , the way the people lived, tucked away in their own village
Valley of the Workers (Deir el-Medina). This is the place where the workmen of the royal tombs used to live. Here you will see the Temple of Deir el-Medina, which was dedicated to the goddess Hathor. This is the only temple in all of Egypt where you can admire carvings of the Final Judgement.
